Set Up Passwords window

New Master Password

Enter the password you wish to use to control access to all major functions in AccountEdge. The master password is used to access the entire AccountEdge system, including starting the program and setting up sub-passwords. Only one master password can exist for the entire AccountEdge system.

This field appears only if no master password already exists.

New Sub-Password

Enter a password you wish to use to control access to specific functions in AccountEdge. Sub-passwords are used to access individual command centers and windows in the accounting system. Many sub-passwords can exist in the AccountEdge system.

This field appears when you click New in the Password Access window.

Edit Master Password

This field displays the current master password. Change it, if you want, then click the Record Changes button.

This field appears when you highlight **MASTER** in the Sub-Passwords column of the Password Access window and click the Edit button.

Edit Sub-Password

This field displays the sub-password you selected in the Password Access window. Change it, if you want, then click the Record Changes button.

This field appears when you highlight the sub-password you want to change in the Sub-Passwords column of the Password Access window and click the Edit button.

Record Changes button

Click this button to record the changes you made to the password.

Cancel button

Click this button to leave this window.

Record New Password button

Click this button to record the new password you entered.
